A little help can go a long way....

I received the letter below today. An amazing charity, delivering free healthcare on a train throughout India:

A little help can go a long way...."Dear Neil,

Greetings from Impact India Foundation (IIF)! We trust this message finds you well and in good cheer. We remember fondly the day when you took the trouble to come down from England to inaugurate the Dental Unit on the Lifeline Express (LLE) Hospital Train, so kindly donated by you. The 109th LLE project commenced on April 25, 2009 and concluded on June 25, 2009 at Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh (MP). Your donation of a Dental Unit on the LLE has contributed to benefiting 89,934 patients so far.

Impact India has partnered with the India Dental Association (IDA) for delivery of services, which includes raising awareness on Oral Health & Hygiene in school children and the community. You may be interested to know that IIF received an Award instituted by IDA for Outstanding NGO in Creating Oral Health Awareness presented by the Government of India’s Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Mr. J.P. Nadda, on November 4, 2016. (attached)

As of December 2016, two additional coaches have been added to the five-coach Lifeline Express for the Prevention and Control of Oral, Breast & Cervical Cancer, Family Health services, Prevention of Stroke and General Surgeries. Together, the seven-coach LLE is estimated to benefit about 10,000 rural poor at each of the ten locations it serves per year.

We thank you once again for your support in improving the lives of the rural poor, and welcome you to visit our project once again!

 With all good wishes,

Zelma
